Mission & Vision

Where we are headed and how we plan to get there

Mission Statement

"To provide accessible, high-quality sailing education and maritime stewardship programs that empower youth and adults of all abilities to develop confidence, leadership, and a lifelong connection to the water, while fostering environmental responsibility and community engagement in Southwest Florida."

Vision Statement

By 2030, Pelican Bay Sailing School Inc. will be the premier nonprofit sailing institution in Southwest Florida, recognized nationally for excellence in inclusive maritime education.

🌞 A Community on the Water

We envision a Southwest Florida where every child has the opportunity to learn to sail, where veterans find healing on the water, and where families come together through a shared love of the marine environment. Our programs will serve as a model for community sailing centers nationwide.

🌱 Environmental Leadership

Our sailors will be ambassadors for clean water and healthy coastlines. Through partnerships with marine research institutions and conservation groups, we will contribute to the protection of the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem while teaching the next generation of environmental stewards.

🏆 Excellence in Instruction

We will maintain the highest standards of sailing instruction, with a fully certified professional staff, modern equipment, and facilities that meet or exceed US Sailing and Community Boating Center standards.
